FOLA GUEST PASS PROGRAM

Program Intent

Friends of Lake Antioch (FOLA) developed this program to provide unaccompanied guests of Lake Antioch Property Owners (or their authorized renter) with a form of identification while on Lake Antioch.

Guest Passes

FOLA will provide physical guest passes to each participating homeowners association (HOA). FOLA will provide a sufficient number of passes, which is equal to one pass per household within the HOA.

​

Each guest pass will clearly display the FOLA logo and HOA subdivision name on the front side of the pass. The reverse side will identify the address of the Property Owner.

Distribution and Collection of Passes

Each HOA will determine the best method of distribution of the passes to their members. Each HOA is responsible for the collection of passes from their members prior to property sale.

Pass Use Expectations                                                

If a Property Owner is unable to accompany a guest on the lake, then the Property Owner will provide the guest with their FOLA guest pass.

Property Owners issuing their pass should assure guests:

​

• Are willing to produce the pass upon request of a FOLA Member

• Understand and honor FOLA fishing limits/catch & release policies as posted and prohibition of the introduction of outside species whether directly or with live bait

• Understand and honor FOLA vehicle restrictions as outlined in the by-laws. Including no gasoline engines during open water season and vehicle restrictions during the winter

• Understand and honor their responsibility to respect no trespassing restrictions on private property and disturbing the peace restrictions out of respect for other residents

• Understand and honor boat-cleaning requirements if boats, or other water vehicles, were previously used on other bodies of water

 

Program Updates

FOLA reserves the right update the program requirements as needed with approval by the FOLA Board.

Exclusions

This program does not exclude requirements by governing agencies relating to fishing, boating, or other lawful conduct.
